About Me

It’s a pleasure to learn with you in this course. I’ve been working in post-secondary institutions for 35 years. While a lot of my time has been in the classroom, my most recent role has been as an academic administrator (assistant dean, dean and associate vice-president). All of this work has been in support of student success, and I’m excited to apply my passion for academic access and language geekery to this course. I hold a Master of Arts in Applied Language Studies from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Ottawa.

My email is cadam@tru.ca and my office is 1841 Old Main. I will respond to emails within 24 hours on weekdays, and my presence in the office will vary depending on the day. You can count on finding me there during my office hours indicated on the course outline. Feel free to contact me if you can’t make it to my office hours.

Why would you even want to come and see me? Office hours are your time to get clarification on things you may not have understood in the class or in the readings. I’m also able to help you get connected to resources on campus if you’re experiencing academic, social, financial or personal difficulties. Please don’t hesitate to drop by or make an appointment.
